Tondo Round is a short matte black cylinder that casts a symmetrical pair of beams, one up and one down the wall. The circular aperture gives a softer, more diffuse pool than a square body does — the edge of the light fades rather than stopping — which suits render, plaster and stone.
It is a fixture meant to be repeated. Three along a façade, or one per landing up an external stair, and the rhythm of identical light marks does more for the elevation than any single decorative lantern would.
Materials and finish
