Bedroom

A bedroom is the one room where the overhead light is usually a mistake. Almost everything here exists so you can leave it switched off.

The decision to make first is whether light comes from the wall or from the ceiling. Wall-mounted — Lume, Duo, Sabbia, Fiume — clears the nightstand completely and lets each side of the bed be switched independently. Ceiling-hung Lira does the same job with a long drop, and reads softer. Both need a hardwired point; if you have neither, Cono and Alba need nothing but a USB cable.

On colour temperature

For the hour before sleep, warmer is better: 2700–3000K rather than 4000K and above. Alba goes further and emits no blue component at all — amber at 1600K, roughly candlelight, or a deep red at 620nm. Several fittings here offer a switchable three-colour source so one lamp can be cool for dressing and warm for reading.
