Lira is a pendant on a long drop, hung to one side of the bed at roughly the height a table lamp would sit. The point is the nightstand: once the light comes from the ceiling, the surface beside you holds a book and a glass instead of a lamp base and a cable.

In brushed brass the rod catches a little of the light it carries, so the drop itself is visible as a warm vertical line down a pale wall. Best specified as a pair, one each side, at matching heights.
