Riva is a small sconce that glows rather than shines. In amber the blown glass turns the bulb into something closer to a coal: warm, low and entirely without glare, which is what you want on a wall you will be lying next to.

Mount a pair at shoulder height either side of a bed, or one beside a mirror where a downlight would carve shadows into a face. The black arm keeps the fitting grounded so the glass reads as the only soft thing on the wall.
