Amber glass does something to light before it reaches the room: it takes the edge off a cool LED and lays down a pool the colour of weak tea. Velo in amber is the warmest pendant we make, and the one that flatters a dining table most — skin, wood and brass all read better under it.
Hung singly it becomes a reading light over an armchair. In a row of three above an island the pools overlap into a continuous warm band, and the shades themselves glow, which is half the reason to buy tinted glass rather than clear.
